Electrical installations and appliances are like any other type of machinery and device – you get out of it what you put in. For the electrics in your home or commercial property to continue to operate at maximum energy efficiency and to the highest standards, they need to be well looked after and maintained. That is where our accredited and skilled electricians at Green View Projects come in.

As NICEIC approved and City & Guilds qualified contractors, we are one of the few electrical companies that offer all-encompassing electrician services. When applied to electrical maintenance services, this translates to being able to offer an effective electric fix for minor problems, to carrying out large-scale maintenance projects.

Minimising Risks

According to the Health and Safety Executive, many electrical accidents often happen whilst electrical equipment is being maintained. This electrical equipment could be any apparatus that uses electrical power or switchgear. Switchgear is the mixture of fuses, circuit breakers and electrical disconnect switches used to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment in an electric power system. They are used to power down equipment to enable electricians to carry out work on them and clear faults.

The Health and Safety Executive states that the most dangerous incidents related to electrical faults of equipment occur as a result of electricians being poorly trained, unsupervised or a failure to examine the potential risks. Our staff are all trained and qualified to the highest industry standard, being Part P Electrical Safety Registered installers and work strictly to BS 7671- the British Standards for Requirements for Electrical Installations and Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. By us following the correct regulations and laws, it means your business is also compliant with all the right rules and legislations.

Any trainees, apprentices or inexperienced electricians on our team are always closely supervised by a more seasoned senior electrician to give you added confidence.

Our electrical maintenance services span all industries, from catering and aiding in the upkeep portable and transportable electrical equipment, to electrical installations in hospitals and educational establishments, for which we are DBS (formerly CRB) checked.

Electrical maintenance excellence plays an important role in working towards a more sustainable society, helping to keep electrical equipment, systems and appliances working efficiently. Good maintenance practices and strategies require careful and meticulous planning, professional management and reporting. Therefore, it is always beneficial to hire a registered electrical contractor like ourselves.

We work swiftly, always leaving your home or business property clean and tidy and disposing of any electrical systems or equipment correctly and safely at the end of their lifespan.

How it works

  • Our engineers will complete a visual inspection of your appliances. They look for visual damage the cables and the appliance itself.
  • Then they will check for damage to the fuse, carrying out various tests using our specialist equipment.
  • If there is no damage and the appliance tests out ok, then the electrician will put a ‘pass’ sticker on the appliance.
  • Should the appliance fail its PAT test, it should be isolated and stopped using immediately. Some appliances can be fixed, depending on the fault.
  • If we are able to fix the appliance, it will be repaired before it is retested and returned to you.
